What Does an NMEA 2000 Network Require?

• Laitekaapeli, joihin kaikki NMEA 2000 laitteet kytketään
• T-haarat, joihin kaikki laitekaapelit kytketään
• Runkokaapeli, joilla viedään NMEA runkoa sopivaan paikkaan (ei pakollinen)
• Terminaattorit verkon molempiin päihin
• Virtahaara, joka tuo verkolle 12V käyttöjännitteen akulta
• Pääkytkin on erittäin suositeltava

Building an NMEA 2000 Network Step by Step

1. Connect the power cable to the battery via the main switch. Make sure the main switch is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the T-connectors to both sides of the power cable.
3. Connect the NMEA device to the T-connectors using the device cable.
4. Attach terminators to both ends of the T-connector row.
5. Verify that the network and devices are working correctly.

Expanding an NMEA 2000 Network

1. Make sure the additional device supports the NMEA 2000 standard and has a Micro-C connector.
2. Measure the distance from the device location to the network cabling and purchase a suitable device cable and T-connector.
3. Make sure the main switch is in the OFF position.
4. Add the T-connector and device cable to the network. Connect the device and turn the main switch to the ON position.
5. Verify that the network and devices are working correctly.
